Purpose

Purpose of global SoL organization:

gathering, leveraging and disseminating profound knowledge for systemic change and well being

Gathering – bringing people together and connecting them in ways that become ongoing. SoL has done this in the past through Global Forums, capacity building programs and via our website. But we could do much more, and be more targeted to networks where there has been significant accomplishment. Every community has much to share.

Leveraging – Fostering  new collaborations and ways that different bodies of practical know-how can be applied to achieve still greater results.

Disseminating – capacity building, research, story sharing, face to face meetings, and diverse forms of publication. (So far, the ten or so books that have come been published by SoL or have a SoL imprint have reached almost three millions readers; publications from the larger network have reached many more – our goal should be to expand this tenfold.)
